    Hello Ephraim:

    My name: Derschaun Monique Sharpley
    Email: derschaun@hisagency.org
Org Name: Helping Individuals Succeed (H.I.S.)

My ultimate holiday present for H.I.S. Agency would be to have a solid fundraising plan in place to sustain us throughout the year with several heavy hitters on board and bringing others with them. This would allow us to expand on our programs and offer more free workshops and scholarships to those in need in our community.

    Sincerely,
    Derschaun Sharpley

nonprofit: The Skirball Center for Adult Jewish Learning

We’ve entered the digital age, but we need some direction. We’d love the gift of some free advice ["free" is a beloved word for a small nonprofit!] to help us maximize our efforts.

    Quinte Conservation

We’re starting to get serious in the fundraising department, but need some help! We’d like to start a foundation next year, but need some guidance in developing a cohesive fundraising plan. Any and all help is appreciated! A present to QC is a gift to Mother Nature.

  4. Laurie Johnson Says:

Facing huge funding cuts next year means we have to engage our board around meeting our fundraising needs this next year. Our wish for this holiday season is a plan to engage board members and staff around cultivating individual donors in order to ramp up our unrestricted contributions. We are the state CASA organization committed to providing a CASA volunteer for every foster child in Mississippi who needs a voice in court. We also strive to improve the child welfare system by engaging former foster youth in leadership to change foster care for their peers. We are blessed with so much and hope to improve the lives of foster youth by giving them the support they deserve to find a safe, permanent and nurturing home. Any help you can offer is appreciated!

    Hello Ephraim,

We would love to receive knowledge and expertise from you and your consultants on how to expand our social presence. As well on how to tap into the thousands of alumni we have but who’s current whereabouts are unknown. We have spoken in the past about the idea of working together.
If after our “gift” we feel we are in the right direction then you never know, we might be able to return the “gift” to you with a continued work relationship.

  6. Sheena Williams Says:

    Non Profit: SheWill, Inc.

SheWill is an organization created to educate young girls, between the ages of 8 and 17, on the importance of financial literacy and career empowerment. I am seeking advice on fundraising tactics, corporate sponsorship, and strategic planning. The information received will allow us to move forward in providing necessary services to educate the future generation. Resource accessibility will enhance productivity in delivering research-based literature to all participants. Please take this comment into consideration and any advice is greatly appreciated.

  7. Amihai Bannett Says:

Israel Connect is dedicated to developing and facilitating a two-way, long-term and interpersonal connection between Jewish youth from around the world and their peers in Israel in order to enhance their Jewish identity and commitment to the Jewish people. Israel Connect twins young Jews from frameworks such as schools, university campuses and the IDF using the internet, video conferencing and face to face encounters.

We’d love to receive advice on how to locate new potential donors and how to reach out to new crouds. Also, how to improve our website and sync our information distribution.

    Thanks,

    Amihai

  9. Parthenia Warford Says:

As the CEO/Founder of The Warford Foundation, 501c3 since 12/30/10, our main source of funding is from my military retirement, VA disability, social security disabliity, and long teru.m disability income. We have no corporate sponsors/donors yet. All expenses are paid by me therefore I don’t have funds available to hire consultants as we are entering our 2d year with our 501c3 I believe 4hrs of free consulting will be very helpful with our launch Project Impact Scholars Program with our partner Prince George’s Community College Nursing Department to award $250 semester to singlemother militarywidows as they pursue 2yr nursing degree; launch is Jan 12, we are screening applications now!

  10. Carol Wellman Says:

I am the founder/director of a 501c3 non-profit that provides services to women in transition. Many of these women are survivors of sexual and domestic violence, have been incarcerated, homeless and have mental illnesses. We are moving in the direction of a social enterprise and currently have an employment program where we are recycling and upcycling fabric and textiles. We have a small thrift shop and are planning to move into a warehouse space in order to increase our collection efforts and start baling clothing where we can then sell some of the clothes in order to become self-sustaining and get women working. We also provide on-the job training in recycling, as well as counseling, mentoring, and entrepreneurship for those wanting to start their own businesses or non-profits. We currently rely on the small donations we get from the general public through fundraisers and the selling of upcycled items such as magnets we make from donated buttons and purses from some of the fabrics we have deemed unsellable. Last year we did a “fundraiser a month” in order to bring some funding in to keep our doors open. We use social media (facebook, website, twitter, blogging, newsletters) to keep the world current about what we do. Our funds are always tight and until we can start producing and selling quantity bales of clothes, we struggle monthly to keep afloat. We seem to be constantly looking for “THE” fundraiser that we could successfully build upon year after year that we can call our own; one that shows people what we do as well as appeal to the heart strings of potential donors to keep supporting us and helping us to grow in our mission to help women in transition. A gift from your organization of an hours worth of consulting on how to get more “bang for our buck” would be something that would give us the needed edge to bring more funding into our programs. It would be a gift that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for the opportunity!

  11. Barth Gillan Says:

Our holiday wish would be to develop a social media strategy for our small college. Many of our alumni have moved around, and our mailing list is not as complete as we would like it. Social media would be a more efficient and cost-effective way to communicate with our alumni whereever they are (Note, we did have an alumni Facebook group of 2,500 members, which Facebook archived on us this summer. The group has disappeared, and we cannot access it any more, so we have lost this valuable tool from our toolbox).
What is not well known is that one in five students (20%) receive some form of financial aid, award or scholarship while at Marianopolis, and we are not really meeting the demand the way we would like, so having the strategy include an option for fundraising would be extremely helpful as well.

  12. Marsha Says:

VIDA=victims in domestic abuse. We assist VIDA with housing and assist them to overcome challenges in their lives and to become equipped to provide for their children and themselves.
We would be happy for any help that is gifted. I am not certain what communications refers to but that or social media would be a great help. Thank you.

  13. Miriam Gottlieb Says:

My name is Miriam Gottlieb, my organization is Standing Together and my email address is info@stogether.org. I would like some help taking our fundraising to a higher level. I know there are organizations that can raise thousands at a time and because we are a very small organization i find that as a big challenge. Can you help?

  14. Jennifer Tinker Says:

My holiday present to Centennial Olympic Park would be knowledge on how to best utilize our social media tools to fundraise for the Park’s upcoming Spring Benefit Concert. We are somewhat new to the field of social media, but recognize the tremendous potential it has to serve the Park’s needs. We’d like to create a public presence in order to involve and welcome more of the Atlanta community to our events. We’re eager to learn and engage our visitors in the same way they reach out to one another, and would benefit greatly from your experience and insight. Thank you for your consideration!

  15. Hannah Awesome Says:

Tearfund – I am based in the Volunteers team and we are responsible for Community Fundraising.

My ideal holiday gift for Tearfund would be to get some creative ideas on how we can attract and retain community fundraisers through the use of social media. What are the optimum ways to do this. The charity is currently going through cuts/redundancies because some of our project work is underfunded and we can’t sustain the level we are at. I am passionate about reaching out to more people suffering in poverty and getting people in the UK connected with that and realise they can make a huge difference to others’ lives.

    Have a blessed Christmas :)
